Charlie.
He was on DCIN at the Pinellas County Humane Society. They found out he was diabetic during their labwork when he was surrendered to the shelter because his owner has medical conditions and could not care for him any more. According to the shelter, they have been able to control his glucose level through diet alone. I will know if that is true when I start testing him. He has a little muscle waste on his back legs so I suspect he may have early neuropathy. If he does need insulin he will start on Semglee.
He is a sweetie. I met Ali from the shelter about half way to Jacksonville and he talked the whole way home.
He is set up in the spare bedroom and immediately made himself at home. He found the catnip toys and started playing with them.
