I think things are good?

Hi,

Can someone take a look at LeeLee's spreadsheet? I'm pretty sure this is a dumb question, but I don't have to worry about her BG dropping too low if she hasn't had insulin in 5 days, do I?

Also, are her recent numbers acceptable? As in...if this trend continues, will I be able to say she's OTJ?

Thanks,
Erin & LeeLee

If she hasn't had insulin for 5 days, then no, you shouldn't have to worry about the numbers going too low.

A cat is considered to be OTJ when they go 14 days without insulin in the normal range (40-120 on a human meter) with most of the numbers in the double digits.
When you get tests just after she eats, you might see a slight increase in BG from the food. If you check an hour later and the numbers have come back down, that would indicate that her body is regulating the blood glucose "by itself", which is exactly what you want to see!

For the past 3 or 4 days, her numbers look fantastic, and you can continue to check to see if she remains in the normal range. Right now, I'd say things are looking very good.

Thanks! Tomorrow I'll try and test her shortly after eating and then again an hour later.

Wow - LeeLee and I are very lucky that switching from Hills (dry and canned) to FF helped so much.
