I think Rocky is out of remission

Rocky's BG is getting higher.
This evening 3hours after food his BG is 10.7 from 7.4 before food.
When do I start giving insulin again?
I wouldn't want to wait until he is in 20 .
What do I do?

How long has it been since Rocky has been to the vet? It is possible that if he has any type of infection the BG readings could be higher.

Could it be a food spike? How about retesting to see if he came down.

I don't have any helpful advice beyond what others have already suggested, but am sending prayers and vines for Rocky's remission and well-being.

I have learned that the strips are not very reliable. Whenever I get a questionable number, I test again. Sometimes I test 3 times to be sure I have a good number.

His numbers are creeping up.

Maybe just dose tiny drops, Marlena - it may be all Rocky needs, but on an ongoing basis. Try not to be despondent - his latest numbers are not "bad". Some people would settle for those!
