I think I just shot an empty syringe

The insulin vial is getting low and I'm pretty sure the syringe was empty. GRRR! It felt odd when I pushed it in, like there was no resistance. I think the needle tip might have been just above the level of the insulin but I couldn't see it. I even looked for it. Rats! What I do now? I will post this in the ProZinc forum too.

don't ever assume there's nothing in the syringe....just wait until the next shot time and resume your regular schedule.

We've seen it a lot where people think they gave nothing, and then the cat earned a reduction!!
 
Never shoot twice. If you did get some insulin in, you could wind up overdosing.
 
Mitz's numbers were high today but the vet said to stick with the same dose of 2.5 units. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
