I may or may not get grief for this, but I did go back to Lantus with her. I completely hated how she was acting on Levemir. Her days and night were spent in the closet or under the covers in the bed. She could never seem to satisfy her hunger either. Since reverting back, she's back to herself, so I don't regret my decision in the least. But anyhow, that's neither here no there now :)

Since putting her back on Lantus I can't make rhyme or reason with her numbers. The insulin seems to work in the night time, but in the daytime she continues to rise after her dose. I know sometimes too much can act like to little and it was suggested that I should perhaps start her back to 1.50 again. Well, today she went to her litter box to pee and when she stepped outside to cover it up I noticed she was still dribbling. Unlike her to say the least. Unsure if she just thought she was finished or what is up. I do have her booked tomorrow at the vets to have them run a blood panel on her to check her pancreas and thyroid to see if that's what's causing the higher numbers.

Should I stick with the 1.50 and hold it for 6 doses, up her dose now, wait to see what the vet has to say tomorrow, consider switching her to an in and out insulin. I feel like I'm going to lose my mind.

I would gladly appreciate any and all help I can get with my sweet Molly :)

To me, it looks like you need an insulin increase, not decrease. It could be that some glucose toxicity set in while she was Levemir, cause she wasn't seeing greens. On Levemir she wasn't near her good dose yet either - you had started too low. If it was me, I would try 2.75 U of Lantus.

The other thing you might ask the vet is to get a urine sample and see if she has a UTI. Any type of infection can lead to higher numbers.

Thank you Wendy I truly do appreciate the help :) I try to wrap my head around it and my line of thinking was in order for it to be too much insulin she should have seen a low at some point in her cycle. Or am I wrong on thinking that? That would be rebound correct?

Molly is a little difficult at the vets so unsure if they will get the urine sample, but perhaps I can just bring the bottle home and drop it off to them. I've done that in the past.

If she was on too much insulin, yes, you would see some lows in there. Other than the nights of the 14th and 15th where I don't see any tests, you've been pretty good about getting data that would show if she was dropping. Instead, see how more pink started showing up yesterday after you decreased the dose the night before. That to me says "not enough juice" cause there wasn't anything before then that would have been worthy of a bounce.
