I need help finding a vet

I need help finding a new vet.

I sent an email to a new potential vet. I explained my goals and expectations and I highlighted all my issues I had with the last vet. I did this because I'm trying to prevent us from forming a relationship and it not last because we aren't on the same page. I do not want to end up in this same position again. I'm not interested in making a practice rich. I'm also not interested in a vet refusing to listen to me about what my goals are. I don't want to be told everytime I speak to his vet that I'm ruining my relationship with my cat because I home test.

This is from their response email:

"After reading your thoughts, however, I do want to be upfront that I have concerns we are not the best match for you. I am worried that our practice will not suit your goals for Basic for continuity of care.

In addition, it is our priority to make the best medical recommendations for each patient this involves a level of trust; from your email I have concerns that this relationship would be strained due to your rigid statements about specific treatments."

I understand most patients blindly follow doctors and vets, but I don't. I never have, long before finding this group. Not because I feel I know more, but because I question everything. Not sure why that is so offense to others, especially those with titles that THEY hold in high regard.

This is extremely frustrating.

Have you tried posting in the Feline Forum, with a post titled "need vet recommendations is <name of your city>"?

A couple of ideas might be in this post: Vet Interview/Screening Topics & Check List

I wouldn't highlight issues with previous vet in an email to a potential new vet, rather just talk about what you want out of the relationship. I love my current vet. I went to her for a particular specialty - she does acupuncture which my Neko got from her. Seeing that vet for one task was a way to check her out, without committing to a longer term relationship. But she's also a regular vet and a self professed crazy cat lady. Just this week when I took current kitty in for something, she decided she hadn't done enough and charged me half price!

I will move this over there. Thank you.

I guess I should've posed this question here before sending the email to the new potential vet. I'll review the link you provided as well. Thank you.
