Hello All,
I hope this is okay to post.
My Lucy travelled to the Rainbow Bridge on Thanksgiving Day 2023 due to kidney failure. I have a supply of syringes ReliOn 6mm x 31G, Human Meter ReliOn Premier Classic. I would like to donate to someone who needs them. I also have refrigerated insulin Lantus 2/3 filled (exp 6/30/2025) with insulin holder. If anyone is in the Ventura CA area (for the insulin - I can mail the syringes and meter to you). If anyone needs these items please let me know. I know in addition to being an emotionally taxing experience having your kitty diagnosed, it can also be an expensive one.

Margie I am so sorry for your loss ♥ So very nice of you to donate these items. I'm sure Lucy would be very pleased that you are helping another kitty. I also had a kitty that passed from kidney failure so I know how you feel. I hope you will remember all the joy that Lucy gave you.
Fly high sweet Lucy ,I'm sure you are chasing butterflies with all the other kitty's. Take care Margie . :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::rb_icon:

Hello All,

My Lucy travelled to the Rainbow Bridge on Thanksgiving Day 2023 due to kidney failure. If anyone is near the Ventura, CA area I have a supply of syringes ReliOn 6mm x 31G, Human Meter ReliOn Premier Classic, Lancets 30 gauge and 26 gauge (freestyle) as well as test strips. I would like to donate to someone who needs them. I also have refrigerated insulin Lantus 2/3 filled (exp 6/30/2025) with insulin holder. If anyone needs these items and is nearby please let me know. I know in addition to being an emotionally taxing experience having your kitty diagnosed, it can also be an expensive one.
Hello. I'm so terribly sorry about your kitty Lucy passing away from kidney disease. I hate kidney disease, it took my sweet Mr. Darcy away from me. I understand how much it hurts to lose our precious furbabies.

Maria, can Diabetic Cats in Need help you with some more U-40 syringes? I want to make absolutely sure that you are using the correct syringes for our Corky! :-) It was my understanding that they can provide syringes and test strips as soon as they get your financial information and you're approved for assistance. It sounds like you have already been approved.

Yes Suzanne I have been in contact with Margie99, I have a box of the U40 syringes but I have never used them because I understand the conversion is difficult, all the pother syringes that I have had I am running out, which some of you send me diagrams on the doses, but I can definitely use the lancets and strips l, Margie has the ReliOn but the monitor I have is a ReliOn Classic it only fits the Classic strips

Hi Margie. Yes it's okay to post here. It's important to know we share our losses together, I've learned over the years you are never alone here.
We lost our old dog last week. He was 85 pounds and had never seen a cat before we adopted him but everyone quickly became best friends. Cats and dogs cross the same bridge and he's there now looking for Lucy. The reason Thanksgiving Day still feels like yesterday is because you loved Lucy and she loved you. That won't be our last dog and Lucy won't be your last cat. We all do this for the same reason, in the end you always get more back than what you put in.
Safe journey Lucy :bighug:
