I had to take Midnight to hospital last night

Thank you everyone for your support being new here. I knew this past week that he was not doing well and three calls to the vet and nothing whom I have fired. I noticed that from 9 am he was not peeing as oppossed to 6 am he was peeing alot. I am so grateful to have read up on all your material and tips ect because at 12 noon I called hospital they said take him in. Now we are talking avout a cat that never has been in carrier as the last one he ripped to shreds hes so strong. But I had husband put him in and i was talking to him thru cage like we were taking a adventure trip and how his brothers and sister are so mad cuz he got to go first wiuth mommi in car! Yes Im crazy but love these cats . First they quoted a 1500 just to open the flow line then 1 hhour later it was PROBLEM ..
His lil pee pee was so inflamed she could bot get the line in and something behind that is hard as a rocl now its special surgery to make the male cat a female cat to pee. 3500. I paid and he is in surgery as we speak also i found out he is diabetic and he kas ketowes? very little but he will say there few extra days to be free of them and i have to fo life ggive insulin every 12 hours. I am in waiting mode sick to my stomach with worry but will keep u posted and thanks to finding your forum I knew enough to use what I learned to get him to sospital or he would be gone today. Forever grateful

Oh, Tracey! :( It's awful that Midnight is in hospital but I'm relieved to know that you got him there in time.

Tracy, we're all pulling for Midnight:( I'm so sorry to hear what's happened. Yes, sometimes you must dump a vet to get proper treatment. It's so upsetting when your baby is hurting so from inadequate care. BUT...It's not your fault. Keep reminding yourself of that.

Trust that the members here will help you to adapt to life with a diabetic cat. ;)You do have friends who want to help you. Please let us know how Midnight is doing after his surgery.
 
Doctor just called surgery went well I get to see him tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers and why did lightning have to have the surgery twice?
 
Pleased and relieved to hear Midnight's procedure went well. Will keep up the prayers that he may have a smooth and speedy recovery.

I hope that you will be able to get some restorative sleep tonight, Tracey: you've had a few very tough days. :bighug:

:)So the surgery went well...Put all thoughts about possible complications out of your mind, ok Tracy? Otherwise you won't get any sleep. You're going to need to be fresh and alert to take care of Midnight when he comes home. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:Take a nice, hot bath, eat something...not necessarily in that order....and sleep.
 
Thank you all and I have yet to actually be active in supporting you all as well but I have every intentions of returning the love! I cant wait to see him tomorrow and take him home hopefully by wednesday only because they want to make sure those keytones are gone. I actually am having a lil drink to relax because one wrong thought and I willl start missing him. The other cats deffinately miss him because they are not even eating and thats a first in this house but it could have worse no doubt! Love to everyone!
 
Oh wow! Scary. Big hugs to you and a gentle thought one to Midnight and lots of scritches and kisses to the civies. You are in our thoughts here is Texas. Sparkle says to make sure you get some good rest.
 
:kiss::kiss::kiss: thank you all I called hospital at 8 pm and the woman said he was critical so naturally I sank like a tank and I insisted that when she hung up to walk to the icu and tell Midnight that Mommi says she comin in the morning and to be a strong boy and I loves him lol well I called at 10 pm she got back on the phone and said he was improving and he ws tryin to lick his wound they put a thing on him to not lol and I was so happy to hear the news so at the end of the conversation she says I also wanted to tell you per our last call that I did what you asked and told Midnight and lets just say You know your baby! lol :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
First of all, I"m so brand new to this I can offer nothing but just that this is a wonderful forum with tons of information and soooo many caring people. I hope your ordeal is over and Midnight is on the mend. Just read your post and now will go back and read the others.
