:YMSIGH: i am now shooting TID woke up to a new time high of 354 and shot our first full 2U......but nobody cares....i want THOUGHTS folks, THOUGHTS.
tom appears fine in every way.
why why why why why is insulin not even touching him????? i know my ss is not updated and my lousey excuse this am is it's a total beach day with new water temp highs and we only had like 7 ALL SUMMER LONG so. cal. beaches had their worst summer ever, a non summer if you will.
we are sad yet trying to live as if life goes on.

All I can say is Pearl was like this on bCP PZI. Better with Idexx but until we got on levemir she just was putzing along. I think some cats are just harderthan others to find their best response.

It's ok, we're here with you. I vote for a blood panel to check for infection, see how his vital organs are etc.

Check back with a +3, k?

he was doing well, just getting worse and worse as time went on then SUDENNLy this!
+2.5 220----by this time tom has usually had his fastest portion of the drop. i think we may only get 40-60 more points out of this 2U.
i'll update ss later.
now i don't even feel like hanging out in health anymore. i can't help other cats when i can't even figure out my own.
it's all very upsetting.
blood panel yes.

Well, this is just not true. There are basics to be shared with everyone. I have felt this exact same way. Some cats are easier than others and all have their quirks. Remember this is ALLL about the journey. There is no "ultimate magic bullet".

hey, woman...i am absolutely no help with what's going on with Tom...but i can tell you this:

i have only been here two and a half months...but i have watched you repeatedly go across the forums to gather eyes to assist other members, newbies or not. I have seen you support, advise and generally buoy up folks who are in a panic or suffering from the overwhelming weight of it all. you oversee the section here that makes it possible for a newbie to even get started helping to heal their cats, and on top of all that, you find the time to check in on us just to see how we are faring.

your humor, diligence, kindness and caring are an integral part of what i see as the moving force behind the board...people helping people help our unconditional love-giving soul mates.

i cant speak to the panic and fear of being alone during an emergency...but i gotta tell you, Lori- if you were to decide "not to bother" the rest of us here would be infinitely poorer from losing you.

please pm or call me if there is ANYTHING i can do to help- even if it's just bugging you with my crazy chat in the wee hours...

I don't know if this is a problem on my side or not - but TomTom's spread sheet only goes until June 27th for me.

My only ideas are basic:

Have you recently calibrated your monitor?
Did your strip bottle get left open?
Are you missing any veggies? Did the sugar get spilled?
Did this start to happen after you tested your own blood when you shot yourself instead of TomTom? What was changed that day - didn't you say you got new syringes?

Lori, what do you mean no one cares? I care about everyone here & everyone's cats. I am going through my own struggles right now and haven't had much time to be on the board.

I am very sorry you are having a tough time. Bix's #s have been really variable lately and I too feel like - how can I be giving others advice if I can't keep my own guy in good #s?

That said, I do think we all can still help, doesn't matter how our own cat is doing, we all still have good information and advice to share with each other. I wish I could get here every day & be supportive of everyone, but I just can't right now. It's all my energy to deal with day-to-day non-diabetes non-cat crises, there just isn't enough left over to spend much time here, and even when I am here, I can't keep up with the daily details to really offer specific thoughts.

Sorry not to have any thoughts for helping Tom, I'm just too brain dead to look at any spreadsheets let alone figure out what is going on.

Hope you are both feeling better soon. :) ((((hugs))))

Lori..I have to echo Celi's comments. You are not alone....while we can't give you advice...we CARE about you and Tom Tom. I'll give you a ring (call) and we can talk.

hi all, i guess aside from just whinning(poor me, no one cares  ), what i meant was i'm just too emotionally or mentally exhuasted to help anyone and i almost feel a little guilty.
the good news is tom hit 86  at +6.
i got an ocean swim in today and that helped, tonight going to a birthday party right up the street (walking distance) which i'm not in the mood...but may be nice.
i'm getting his ss slowly updated...wow, you can only do so much of that before your eye cross  but i am noticing there was definetly a point in which he started his gradual ascent began.
i'll be in touch.
marjorie thanks for shrinking the pic...i'll call you during the week to put it up ok?
yawn, here i go a partying...
lori
