I can't get Petie back to good ... I'm losing my mind.

At least with blood sugar I could test it and hopefully see where to go, but this I don't know what to do. I just saw Petie in the cat box, straining, no results. We went straight from liquid stool to no stool. I'm floating between this Miralax dose of a 1/4 tsp. daily to somewhere between 1/4 and 1/8 daily. He's not doing the straining like he did, no throwing up, and he's back to his normal mischievous self ... but this worries me. How can I get this dose right?

Are you positive he's not straining trying to pee? That could be serious if it's urine that's blocked.

I was wondering about Urinary too. Harley has had two bouts of Urinary Blockage and he would go to the box and strain. I could watch his sides ripple but he would leave either nothing or a tiny drop of urine. Once it got bad he would stop almost anywhere in the house and do the same thing. If that were the cause you would need to have him at the vet pretty quick.

If you're sure it's not a urinary block and he's still having trouble with poo, maybe increase the Miralax to 1/8 tsp twice a day and be sure to add more water to his wet food to help the Miralax do it's job.

If that does not work maybe ask your vet about increasing that. I don't feel comfortable telling you to give more since he's not my cat and I don't know his medical history like you and your vet do.
