Look what I got in my email today!



I had asked for a kitten photo of Jeddie ever since I established email contact with his former owner. That was about 3 months after I got him, I think. His owner was going through a lot and ended up packing up and moving. When Jeddie was gone I told him I would love to still get a kitten picture "no matter when it was - even if it was years from now". I am so happy to have this. I wish I had had it while Jeddie was still alive, but better late than never.

Of course it made me bawl my eyes out.

He is with his sister, Ellie. Very pretty girl. I don't know if she was also long-haired. It looks like she might have been. She died of some form of cancer a few years before I got Jeddie.

ETA: Ellie was long-haired and was only two y.o. when she died. They are 8 wks old in the photo.

And Jeddie was always a love bug.

I am so happy that you got this, even though it made you sad you can add this to your archive of him and know you have seen him in all stages.

That photo must have been taken almost exactly 13 years ago. It's weird to think about my life back then knowing that Jeddie was living somewhere else and would not be part of my life for another 9 1/2 years. I only had Beau for 4 months - the same amount of time that I have had Cami now.

I have exchanged emails with Jeddie's former person around his birthday and then when I had to let him know about J's cancer and stuff. I was happy to learn that Jeddie had a special cuddle style with him that he didn't do with me and vice versa. That means that Jeddie knew we were different and expressed his love for us "uniquely". But we both loved that Jeddie slept on his back with his feet in the air.

I really miss him.
 
What a great picture of them. So glad u were able to make the connection and that he was able to put his hands on it. Better late than never. I know its still bittdrsweet, but i trust the hole in your heart is filling with warmth and loving memories of your boy as time continues. (((hugs))).
