Hey there,
I posted over in LL the other day but thought I would cross post here..
So my Mowgli is doing pretty good OTJ.
His numbers have been good...
(SS is current)
However the last I guess maybe five days, he is HUNGRY,
I mean even waking me up during the night to get some eats! he is GOOD at being annoying! his favorite is to lock himself in the hall bathroom and scratch on the back of the door until i get up.... If that doesn't work, jingling of a belt hanging on the bedroom door knob... etc.... i am sure you all know what it is like lol
This is causing problems with my civvies because they like to eat a bit and come back, but Mowgli will eat whatever they leave...
So example. a 24hr period
I also leave a frozen puck out during the day, which previous to this hunger some would be remaining..but since the hunger every morsel licked from everything!
1800 3oz can FF
2100 1/2 can FF
0030 1/2can FF
0300 1/2can FF
0600 3oz can FF
0700 1/2can FF
FROZEN PUCK FOR THE DAY GONE GONE GONE (mind you three cats but I know they are not eatting much of it cause they hungry when i get home)
1800 3oz can FF
2200 1/2 can FF
0300 1/2 can FF
0600 3oz can FF
0700 1/2 can FF
And now frozen puck as I am at work during the day..
Do I continue to feed? He is NOT losing weight so I guess that might be a good thing? BUT i think he has put some on, I am going to double check tonite when I get home from work... When I checked last night it appeared he has put on about a pound in the week.
NOW it could be that it is VERY cold here right now night goes to -22F day -5.8F but they are strictly indoor cats.... I dunno..
Any thoughts? Continue to feed the hunger?? (i am just grateful that he doesn't jump on counters cause that is where i have the civvies food..the downside my one civvie doesn't jump on counters either, so she only eats twice a day now)

My two are limited to 5 cans a day between them, and this is totally adequate for them but that doesn't stop them from begging for more and pretending that daddy didn't feed them...
