My Maine Coon cat, Mr. T. was diagnosed Feb 5 with diabetes. He was started on 1.5 units of Humulin N 2x per day. The vet just upped the dose to 2 units 2 x per day. The vet suggested I feed him Purina DM food which I began on Feb 6. He likes to eat so that is not a problem. After reading your post I see that Purina DM is not the best food for him so I will be changing his food as well.

I stayed home on Sunday and took Mr. T's bg every few hours but I don't know how to interpret the numbers. Any assistance you could offer would be most appreciated.

N can be a VERY tricky insulin...Bunny was regulated on it for years, but he is more the rarity than the norm.
Annie did really well on Lantus...and many cats do. I'm curious why the vet decided on N.

Was there a curve done before the increase in dosage?

NICE job on the testing...but I would love to see what the numbers were BEFORE the increase.
