Human Meters for Felines

Hi, so how exactly does one go about adjusting the human meters for felines? We have a meter for a human, but our vet wants us to go with a feline one. I don't want to because knowing our vet the test strips are going to be much more expensive.

There is no conversion. Human meters read lower than pet meter but there is no numerical conversion.

All of our dosing methods were written before pet meters became a thing and so heavily marketed to vets, so the dosing methods all use human meter numbers. In fact, my vet used to use a human meter in the office when I started. We used to trade tips on cheapest places to get test strips. Just tell your vet you can't afford the expensive test strips.
