Human meter

I used to have a pet meter but it died and they are so expensive that I got a human one knowing that they work the same, and are much cheaper. I know that technically the blood is not the same and therefore does not read the same but...
Is there a conversation for the meters (going from human to cat) or is the reading close enough/ reads correctly?

The human meter reads accurately, the BG numbers are just a bit lower with the human meter. 50-120 is normal
Reading for the human meter. Do not let the BG drop
under 50 with the human meter…. give honey, karo or high carb food if this happens

if you are following SLGS dosing method then reduce the dose under 90.
