I’m hoping someone can help. I’ve looked around and tried to find some information but maybe I missed it.

How do I properly find 0.5u on a u40 syringe? Is there a video or pictures someone can show?

Also how do I make sure I get the air bubbles out of a syringe and make sure I’m giving the right dose? I’ve tried to research but maybe I’m not good at finding the information. Thank you so much

The easiest way to measure half unit doses is by using insulin syringes with half unit markings. Here's one such U40 insulin syringe with half unit markings: https://www.chewy.com/ulticare-vetrx-insulin-syringes-u-40/dp/206319

Bubbles are annoying. What you can do is to measure a little more insulin than you need. Say the dose is 1 unit. Draw out the insulin to the 2 unit line. Hold the insulin syringe with the needle pointing up. Tap the syringe barrel gently to float bubbles up towards the needle. Pull back on the plunger slightly and then slowly push up to remove the bubble and the excess insulin that is not needed.

Can you add a signature to your profile and include information on your cat, the insulin, and link to your cat's spreadsheet?
