His night time tests at +2 have been consistently either still going up or barely down. He has snacks overnight. His day time numbers aren’t impressive. I agree that he needs to go back up to 1.75.Well, without any night tests for the last 14 days we can’t know for sure of his nighttime numbers are impacting his daytime cycle. His daytime nadirs make it look like he could do with an increase back to 1.75, but I hesitate to recommend this with no nighttime tests recently because many cats drop lower at night.
Generally speaking we don’t hold doses longer than 7 days unless the nadirs are where we want them to be. If nadirs are lower blues, we would hold the dose a little longer. If higher blues or yellows we would probably increase.
You are not.reaching a breaking point of constantly feeling like I’m doing something wrong. The stress is getting to me as I’m trying manage my own health.
This is a huge win!On the other hand, his urine output is much lower. His appetite is good despite being picky and he’s maintaining his weight and has gained back all that he lost before switching to insulin.
I don’t see any of these tests for the last two weeks. I am sure you became frustrated and gave up. It looks like the ProZinc takes a little longer in Buddy to onset (after +2) so the +2 is probably not a good indicator for him and it would have to be tested later in the cycle. I hope the 1.75 dose will be better for him!His night time tests at +2 have been consistently either still going up or barely down.
I appreciate the support. I will see if I can get a +4 at night but +6 would take a big toll. I’m comfortable going to 1.75 as I will be home all next week to monitor him during the day.I don’t see any of these tests for the last two weeks. I am sure you became frustrated and gave up.
