In Nov, when Hershey was down to 8.5 lb, I thought his healthy weight would be about 12 pounds, so have been feeding him the calories to get him back there. But, today, he weighed in at 10.6 lb and honestly, around his hip area he's still bony I could just cry.

So, my question is - how do I figure out what his healthy weight actually is? Or will his hip area not fill back out?

Thanks!!

Sneakers, too lost weight before I had her checked out. She has gained it back but it is more around her middle.

She hasn't put much back on her hips at all- and she did have it there before. But I can no longer feel her ribs as easy as I could when she was DX.

I'll be interested in following the thread.

Poopy's hips are finally putting some meat back on them, as is his belly. I'm hoping, in time, his hips continue to get less boney. :-D
