? How to deal with sores from injections

Hello,

So I have noticed that Brody gets sores around the injection sites and I don't really know what to do about it. Are there any hypoallergenic syringes that I can use or something else?
 
31 gauge ReliOn syringes. I moved higher up his neck but it is like he immediately broke out there too.
 
Poor guy :( I'm sorry I don't have ideas for you beyond being vigilant about syringe sterility. Any skin issues? Maybe a bath?
If you don't get other responses it could be worth a call to your vet.
 
I have not bathed him in a really long time. The last attempt did not go well. I know the litter I was using was causing some irritation so I got some unscented litter and that helped his legs. Maybe the scabbing will clear up on his neck or I might have to pay the vet a visit. I never reuse syringes though so my only thought was a reaction to them.
 
off the wall suggestion -- what about rubbing a little coconut oil on his skin after the injection? or any oil that is both anti-inflammatory and safe for him to lick
