Hey all..

My dry addict Smokey has been eating that Kanin diabetic, and of course it's not helping things, as I've been told it's high in carbs.
I am going to petco this morning to grab some wellness core. While I am there, I plan on grabbing a few cans of cat food, but it would be helpful if I had a formula to figure out the carbs. I know that there is a link somewhere around here but I don't know if I'll be able to find it in time.

If anyone knows it offhand, please let me know, I will be leaving within an hour. Thanks so much! Hopefully I can get this dry food addict to break his bad habits!

ALSO,.. does anyone know that Wellness CORE is still 11%. I looked at Janet & Binky's list, but I know that was made in 2008. Just making sure those values still hold true.

Sorry I don't have the info on calculating carbs off hand, but have you seen Dr. Lisas food list? It was updated in fall 2012, and is really extensive and has all the info by brand and flavors, just go by the carbs in the calorie % column:) You can find it here: http://www.catinfo.org/docs/FoodChartPublic9-22-12.pdf Hope that helps :-D , I know it's really helped me and others on this site. I believe her website has how to calculate carbs and such too, as well as a ton of other great info including transitioning cats from dry food at http://www.catinfo.org/
