I used to be able to find it for 50 cents a can when my boy was first diagnosed. Now it is regularly 68 cents a can. That is a BIG jump and not cheap.

How much do you pay where you are?

I am looking or some tips on stocking up a cheaper price. Any ideas?

I am in British Columbia.

Holy crap!

I just re-looked over a flyer for a store near me and they are selling 10 cans for 4.00 ! That's 40 cents a can!

I am going to price match the CRAP outta this and hoard as many cans I can get my hands on.

If I watch the sales right I can get 50 a can. Last time I ordered online from petco and timed my rewards dollars and free shipping to get a good price.

Is there a particular style of Fancy Feast you look for? At 40 or 50 cents a can I'm interested. I was told to get my cat something that's $1.00 per can.... I guess I CAN afford it, but I really don't want to.

Hi,
I'm in Ontario, Canada and I found the cheapest place was Walmart at $6.85 for 12 cans. That's in Canadian $$ of course so you'd need to calculate the US prices people are telling you into CAD to get a good picture. Mostly individual cans are about 85c in Ontario but cheaper to buy case of 12.

They always sell them in mixed packs with the high carb mixed with low carb cans I need though. confused_cat

Yes. Please check out this thread for a great list of low carb catfood options:

Prices vary depending on where you live.

My vet tried getting me to buy the $1.00 a can food as well. I told her I was going to get them low carb fancy feast. It was the one thing she tried to disagree with me on (she was all for home testing). But my cat is 4 years in remission and happy as ever. No expensive 'special vet food' needed.

No, they don't. I use the blue pack because that's all seafood which my two eat - they are all pate not gravy or grilled and that's what you want. In Canada they no longer call them "Classic" but you can tell the classics by their simple names ie Chicken Feast, Beef Feast, Tuna Feast etc.

I am attaching a link to the ones you can use - and a link to the cans I buy.

This link from petsmart says it contains Salmon grilled but in fact its not, its Salmon pate.

Silver's numbers came down quite considerably when I dropped him from Purina DM dry and wet to these FF cans. I feed him one in the morning and one in the evening. Walmart has them cheapest.

My cat's aren't fans of the seafood flavours. But if they are all the pate I might be able to talk them into a day or two of them.

That was just the pack I showed you. There's two other variety packs. One is brown and another is green. Just avoid the speciality FF packs but they are clearly marked ie FF Supreme.

Pretty much all of the Fancy Feast Classics are going to be low carb. They are all pates. I usually go to Petsmart and buy cases (multiple cats eating it)... and DEFINITELY stock up when it's cheap! ... assuming your kitty likes it!

My Wink hates the seafood flavors too! Took me a while to figure that out when I was transitioning him from the dry food to only wet food.

Here in the US, I can find the Fancy Feast pate Turkey and Giblets or the Chicken Feast in the 12 packs. Sometimes, it's still cheaper for me to buy the individual cans, even at my local Wal-mart.

I think I usually pay somewhere between 44 and 54 cents a can for the Fancy Feast, depending on if I hit on a sale or not.
