How low is a safe low?

Upon my vet's advice I upped my cat Alex's dosage from 1U to 1.5U ProZinc which seemed fine for a day or so, and then he got very close to hypo. No symptoms and some food brought up him quickly and easily, but I still lowered the dosage to 1.25 last night and this morning and checked in the middle of the night to be sure. Today I checked at +5 and he was low again, but only slightly, so I gave him a midday snack a little early.

I feel like I'm pretty close to the correct dosage, but what should his nadir numbers be if he's well regulated? Should it still be at or above the 5.5, or is dipping a little lower okay? On the same thought, if he's in the blue range the majority of the day, is he considered regulated even if it jumps up around shot time? Hopefully his numbers there go down eventually, but I don't want to give a bigger dose if he's already dropping so much.

I’m pretty sure “too low” is under 2.7 (on a human monitor) not 5.5? That the dark green colour is ok and it’s the light green that is hypo range.

Obviously monitoring and watching for any hypo symptoms, and feeding high carb food if that number is dropping at all.
