how long is log-in?

when you've logged in but aren't actively using the board, like you're switched to another tab, how long do you stay logged in before it automatically logs you out? just seems like i'm getting logged out really quickly . . .
 
i've never tested that but what i've done is i click the box that says something about "keep me logged in". i haven't had to log in in ages that way. i just click my "favorites" tab and then "new fdmb" and i'm in.

i do think though that someone else had a problem with getting logged out in the last couple days
 
I've had problems with the board bumping me out too. Sometimes I've had to log in 2 or 3 times in an hour - Sometimes, in 10 minutes. Other times, it keeps me logged in. I've also had problems with clicking on links in posts or going from one forum to another. There's a certain sequence I have to follow: can't use the "back" button, can't go to the
"board index" from the two buttons on the top and bottom, I have to use the bottom right forum index and then "Go", every time. I also copy every reply because the "submit" has a tendency to bump me out too.
I've asked about it too, but no one can figure it out.
 
well that's all kinda bizarre. i've checked the "keep me logged in" box but it doesn't hold and it doesn't keep me logged in. i have to re-log in every time i'm opening this tab - probably as often as 10 minutes.

jayne, i had that happen on another forum a year or so ago, but don't remember what solved it. i think i switched from using firefox to using chrome and then didn't have the issue anymore.
