how long for insulin to take effect?

Just wondering when you started to see your kitty's levels go down, after giving them insulin.

This is only Whiskey's 2nd day, so I'm not too surprised his BG levels are basically the same. Consistently around 350 so far.

I just want to make sure i'm doing everything right.
 
A large part depends on what insulin you're using. If you are using a in/out insulin like Vetsulin, you will probably start seeing the effect of the insulin soon. If you're using a depot insulin, like Lantus or Levemir, the depot needs to fill before you start seeing the full effect of that particular dose.

Every cat is different. My cat took about 3 months before he became regulated, and eventually went into remission a month after achieving regulation on Lantus.
