I'm thinking about doing a curve on Buddy today but have to take him into the vet this morning for an adequan shot and quick exam (she thought she heard an irregular heartbeat and wants one of the other doctors to listen for a second opinion). I'm thinking total time there would be 1 hour max. Does anyone know a time range that stress-related hyperglycemia can last? I'm wondering how it might impact a curve being done every 2 hours. The earliest I would take him would be 10:00, immediately after his +4 read.
I've been testing Buddy a lot lately since he's not on glip or insulin and wanted to give him (and me!) a day of rest tomorrow.
