When Ti-Mousse drops too low at preshot, I'll leave the prefilled syringe in the fridge and I sometimes forget it's there for the next shot. I often end up throwing it away because I'm not sure how long it can keep!

Thanks!

If you're using Lantus (the insulin you're using isn't in your signature and I didn't see it on your spreadsheet), you should not be pre-filling syringes. It is not recommended by the manufacturer. See page 3 of this link -- the information is on the Lantus board in the Insulin Care sticky.

Thank you @Sienne and Gabby (GA) for the link, very interesting article.

I'm not using Lantus, but Levemir. Just added it in my signature, sorry I had forgotten..!
As Levemir is a neutral solution instead of acidic like Lantus, I thought it could be OK to keep it at least for the next shot.
The lubricant in the BD syringes was bothering me a bit and that was part of my concern also....

Usually I get everything ready for both kities just before shooting. I might have to rethink my way of doing for Ti-Mousse at least ! Never any surprising numbers with Pepe!

Glad I asked! Thanks again!

What insulin?
Policy: It is the policy of Home Health Foundation, Inc. that clinicians will not prefill syringes with Lantus or Levemir for the purpose of storage and administration by the patient at a later time. Manufacturer recommendations, which are based on internal studies by both insulin and syringe manufacturers, do not recommend prefilling syringes and storing for any period of time longer than needed for application, due to questions of instability and decreased effectiveness of these insulins as a result of this practice.
Rationale: Lantus or Levemir insulin may become turbid or cloudy after 2 days of storage in prefilled syringes and fail to meet manufacturer specifications. Levemir may adhere to the plastic syringe therefore altering the dose administered. Both Lantus and Levemir are available in prefilled pens, which are made of glass. Lantus or Levemir should be inspected prior to administration and only administered if it appears clear and colorless
