How does exercise affect blood glucose levels? (Curiosity)

I am curious about this. As I am working slowly to make sure Alice gets some red dot exercise to help her rebuild muscle, I would like to know how it affects her during short bursts of activity, and after those bursts/for how long. Metabolism things happen so there certainly must be a glucose effect, in any mammal, I would imagine?

Science, please? :D

During exercise, the body burns glycogen, a form of glucose that is stored in your muscles. After exercise, the muscles replenish their glycogen stores with glucose from the bloodstream. The more glycogen that is burned during a bout of activity, the longer the body's insulin sensitivity is improved

Exercise is good for more than just muscles!

I was guessing this to be true, that's why I have been getting out Catcat's "fishpole" so he can bat and chase the mousie dangle, or the string with the glittering koi; as well as making sure he gets fresh catnip on his pounce-and-kick-the-stuffing-out toy every so often -- during that period after nadir when I don't feed him since BG is rising

Isn’t it super helpful info to understand? :D How is Catcat doing?

I was nervous in the past because with Alice she was underweight and had had DKA. I often did not want her to get much exercise and she often did not have the energy. She’s getting better now and I want to help her rebuild her hind area from the wasting.
