I need some advice on how to dose to .25 of a unit. I have a hard enough time reading whole unit marks. Lol
I think I bumped Diamond up .25 but not sure I did it correctly (probably should have asked for help before I tried it). I pulled the syringe a hair past one unit.

are you using 1/2 or 1 unit marked syringes? much easier with the 1/2 unit ones since you just half the 1/2 but, with whole units, a hair past one unit should be close. when i used those syringes, i would leave about a hair under for .75 (where i could see a very slight gap under 1 unit line when i tilted syringe and looked through back of syringe).

i think i recall someone saying to fill insulin up to one unit and count the drops that come out by twisting plunger instead of pushing it. than you divide those total drops by 4 to get approximately how many drops to take out for each .25.. after that, to up amounts, you would fill up to 2 units and twist out drop amount that equal .75 to get your 1.25.

Ok Ive done it for about 2 months... holding the pen in one hand the syringe on the other, push the plunger tight down to the bottom of the syringe and stick the needle into the pen as if to draw some out.. then let the plunger go and that is it.. you will pull up a fat drop of insulin that is how I did it

You have to eyeball it a little bit, try and get the plunger mid way between 0 and the 0.5 mark and just try to be consistent always the same approximate dose
You can also measure it with a caliper if you have one

I used syringes with half marks and a caliper and this is how it looks, hope it helps
