How do you know when remission is happening?

Hi,
Dexter was diagnosed in early August. Recently, I have been adjusting his ProZinc dosage by lowering it because his numbers are dropping. My question is how do you know when it is time to stop giving insulin? I am having difficulty navigating this site, so I am sorry is this is already answered somewhere else. Thanks!
 
We have some PROZINC DOSING METHODS you can look at - click on the blue link. Basically when you test and see too low a number, the dose is reduced by 0.25 units. Eventually you get down to zero if all goes well.
