I have been trying different ways to help calm my Kylee before I poke her for BG. I recently started to use my heating pad. I warm it up to high, warm my cotton pad and my hands. Then I put Kylee on the pad and pet her and she likes the warmth. I test her on my bed where she is most of the time. I lay my meter, lancet, and put the cotton pad behind her ear while holding her and poke real quick. She used to run off before I could wipe her ear with the pad. This works so far for me. I hope it can help others if you are having a difficult time.
