Has anyone dealt with someone coming over for them to give them shots when on vaca? I have nobody here that i can or trust to do so,Has anybody tried any websites to look for someone trust worthy to come to the house and give shots twice per day,if so please share as im need soon.

Ask at your vet's office. Sometimes vet techs will be willing to go to your house and take care of kitty for a few days.

I've been battling this issue myself, there sure isn't an easy answer. I'm going to
go over and talk to my neighbors this evening, they have two teenage girls that
I'm going to ask about caring for Goof and general housesitting.

Often the vet techs will be willing to do it. Where are you located at? Maybe one of our members that live near you can recommend someone.

Make sure that you leave very detailed instructions for the person caring for your cat. This includes hometesting with your meter, dosing information and your "don't shoot" number. Even if you have to board your cat at the vet, you still want to leave the instructions. Some people also leave a sample syringe filled with colored water to show the proper dose.

I wound up on the website www.sittercity.com. It's not a free service, but in my area, there aren't many vet techs that are available in the am hours during my work schedule. I got lucky and found one that is now a house wife but has maintained her certification and has sick kitties of her own. Her test skills were rusty the first few days, but I am keeping her! I wish you the very best of luck in finding the right person for your kitty.
