Ugh! Why am I seeing higher numbers now on 1 unit?! I know it takes time but Tig atleast had a few blues before. After one blue at the beginning of 1 unit his numbers have been higher and higher again. I'm not as worried as I was in the very beginning, I know we'll get there eventually, but still. His ketones are great, his appetite is good, he seems to be drinking a good but normal amount, he only vomits hairballs - no more food . . . his weight is s . . l . . o . . w . . l . . y increasing again. He seems to be doing really well, but his damn BG's are still way too high! So frustrating!

Check out my Gomez's spreadsheet. It will make you feel better. I am new here, but I understand your frustration all too well.

With SLGS the thinking is that you don't need to test quite as much as with TR. The downside of thinking in those terms is that you really don't know what's going on if you don't get at least one test each cycle (granted, if you work outside of the house, that may not always be possible). In the beginning, where you're still trying to sort out your cat's patterns, getting more tests is very helpful. While I've read a lot of spreadsheets (SS) over the 9 years I've been here, I don't like to try to second guess what's going on when I'm looking at a kitty's SS. That said, if I had to hazard a guess, Tigger is hitting some lower numbers that you've not been able to catch. The highs that you're seeing are likely bounces off of some lower numbers. You can definitely see that when Tigger drops into blues and it's likely it's happening with yellow numbers, as well.

Well, I thought that too . . . but I wasn't sure if his body would still bounce off a yellow after experiencing (and bouncing from) some blues.
He seems to have one or two fairly good cycles with a pretty good nadir, then bounces up AND STAYS UP. Unless of course he's going low
again the one or two days I can't catch a mid-cycle test. That seems about right for Tigger (and his pancreas) - sneaky little @#$%.;)

The one observation that I can share is that no matter how long a cat is here, they bounce until they don't. It's annoying to be sure.
