Hello again,

New thread, same question....does anyone using Methyl B12 for neuropathy experience HIGH Bilirubin in urine testing?

I spoke with the Life link Co, where I ordered the Methyl B12 from, they said no reports of that.

I stopped his Methyl b12 per his vet, but i really don't think that is the problem, I don't know what is.

I am picking up new urine check strips today, will try tonite, I tested his brother, Sparky, urine this morning, and his came up positive also, so maybe it is the test strips themselves?

no one else has mentioned this problem that I know of, or have read.

High Bilirubin is not good, my baby has been sick since june or before and now this...

I need help please!

I have not experienced this at all with Zoe....however, I have only had her on it about 2 weeks. Maybe the strips are bad, since your other kitty also tested positive. Good luck figuring it out!

Hi Sherry,

I just spoke with one of the doctors at the office where I work, he said methyl b12 is a vitamin and would not cause positve Bilirubin on a dip stick, his suggestion was also to get new test strips and re-check, especially since Sparky showed positive also.

it works basically the same on humans, so he said with all the people that take b12, urine dipsticks would show positive Bilirubin also...

Junior has been on it for about 2 1/2 weeks, and it is working, at least it seems that way to me.

and I don't want to take him off something that helps him.

and we are still stuck on the other side of the river, they are working on building the bridge...so no way to get him to the vet, except a 160 mile trip, no way.

thanks for your info.
