Hi and welcome to FDMB. Would you tell us a bit more about Precious? When was she diagnosed and what you are doing for treatment?
There are three basic components of effective feline diabetic treatment: proper diet, insulin therapy and testing the blood sugar.
A low carbohydrate wet food diet is best for our sugar cats. We test the blood sugar before every injection to be sure it is safe to do so, and during the cycle between shot to see how the insulin is working. You can learn here about how the insulin you are using works and get input from experienced members.
