I know I have been MIA for close to a year but life has been insanely busy and crazy so please forgive me. I have missed a lot as the site has been updated and looks great! Kudos to whomever was responsible for the upgrade.

Simon is still on the juice and his BS has been out of control lately. He is all the way up to 4 units 2x day and he is still giving me numbers in the low 300's at pre shot time. His nadir never seems to go lower than about 140 anymore either...sigh

He is doing well other than this frustration. He has not been ill nor has he exhibited any of the behaviors associated with high BS. He does not seem to have any ketones in his urine (once it was on the lightest color but that was a while ago) so no issues with that....am at a loss as to why his numbers are so high.

Vet increased him three times this year and now as I said, he is on 4 u at each shot. Ugh!

Any ideas on what to do would be greatly appreciated. He is still on ProZinc

Hi Joyce! Glad to "see" you but wish Simon had better news. Can you post some of his recent numbers? How long has he been sitting in higher numbers? How often have you increased and by how much? I can't get anything from your spreadsheet, unless I am missing a page. I am sure you've looked at the usual stuff - teeth, somehow getting into high carb, infections.

I'm wondering about insulin auto-antibodies (IAA), one of the high dose conditions.

Read over this and see what you think.

Thanks for the link BJM...he has an appointment for his yearly physical on 2/11 and I will ask about this test. Not sure on acro as he does not have any of the usual symptoms but ya never know.

Hi Sue! He has been sitting in these higher numbers since last year but he did go down to around 102-120 at nadir on 4units but recently, he hasn;t been getting low enough. He is eating the same as always, weighs the same, no changes in his attitude. No pain (he has been to the vet for his teeth checkup since he had the tooth removal surgery last January and the vet said teeth looked great!) so not sure what is up. He is NORMAL except for the numbers creeping up again..ugh!

I know my ss is not up to date, but have been keeping track on paper and it looks similar to what was there in April...except nadir does not get there anymore.

If you can, add in the most recent test data, maybe put a solid line indicating the break, then back fill as time permits.

Hi Joyce!! Its nice to hear from you!! I hope that you remember me and Chicken Little. We have missed you.

Hello Joyce! Been awhile! I agree with BJ and Sue...some recent test data would be good. Doesn't have to be everything, but the last month or two would be nice to see. I think that would help us all to get a better idea of what's going on.
