Just wanted y'all who are scared and stressed about it, as I was..to reassure you. There were no problems at all! He is happy and doing well. You can do it! :)

One suggestion if you do need to board your kitty, especially if they have health issues such as diabetes, is to write down very explicit instructions for your vet's office. When I had to board Witn and Spot a couple times, I included the following in their instructions: dose, don't shoot number, and that they must test before every shot with my meters. I supplied the food, insulin and meters. They followed my instructions exactly.

A good thing was that my vet's office was able to see for themselves a quirky trend I had noticed with both of my cats. Usually once a week, they would have one BG reading that was too low to shoot. My vet did not want to believe me, even though I provided them with the meter readings. It was not until they saw it for themselves, that I think they actually realized I knew what I was talking about. :banghead:

They stayed in bigger "condos" they were called..and yea I wrote very specific instructions and luckily she was well aware of what to do in a hypo situation...really great..very happy to know that I can leave my cat and know he's in good hands..definitely takes some stress off me.
