Hershey - Not sure that went well...

Hey, y'all -

Here's Hershey's numbers since last we posted on the 6th. We changed his scale 6/2 PM, so he should've settled by now if he was going to. Don't know if we need to tweak the scale or keep on keeping on until we change insulins. Doug is calling around now to get local prices. After that it's a call to the vet and hope she's still open to changing...

PS. Today's (255) was at +6.5, but the comment wouldn't share to the desktop I'm using.

Current Scale:
450-500 .8u
350-450 .7u
325-349 .6u
300-324 .5u
250-299 .4u
225-249 .3u
170-244 .2u

It seemed to me that the .2u on 6/8 and 6/11 wasn't enough because he rose the whole cycle. Then, the .7u didn't seem like the right amount on a couple of days, but then I got to looking at all the days and he's just not where we want him to be...so, guess that reinforces the idea of changing....

Not that I know much about TID but I wonder if your .2 last cycle was too little for the 192 and the next 2 cycles reflect that. That was a nice blue...... Maybe tweak the amounts on the low end up a bit?

I feel a bit like a stranger here.

It's interesting that on basically the same PS with the same dose you get two different results.

I've never done TID so I don't know how that is impacting the results.

I agree with Sue, it looks like the lower levels of the scale could be adjusted up. I guess I was wrong about that, at least now we know.

PMPS (218) +12 - Increased from .2u to .3u at 4:05pm

I'm confused by the different numbers on the same dose, too, glad for the company :-D . We'll see how he does

That's the truth, Lu. I think Hershey just wants to help keep me mentally alert by teaching me new things. :lol: What a good kitty he is!! :-D
 
The .3u shot into (218) left us with (382) at +5.25. :YMSIGH: Didn't go like I had planned/hoped...(Had planned to test at +4, but supper, reading about Levemir, homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies...distracted me)

I'm not the least bit surprised by the "same dose, different results". The flip side of that coin happens all the time too.... same PS, with a different dose, and seeing duplicate cycles.

The first rule of FD is that there are no logical results on a day to day or cycle to cycle basis.
We are the "Sister/Brotherhood of flying by the seat of our traveling pants".

BTW - hopefully Hershey doesn't know the way to IHOP w/o the car! If my dogs realized how close their friend Sophie used to live, they'd have gone down there (or at least Jack) every time he hurdled the 52" gate - which at one poing was multiple times a day!!! But I always drove them there for playdates - even though it was two blocks. Ignorance is bliss!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

BTW - I don't think there's an IHOP in Lev... ;-)
