Schedule is off due to early appts., getting back on track today.

Hi Angela,

Have you given any thought to switching to one of the L's? They give a much flatter curve and since most days Henry has a flat curve anyway maybe you could at least get his numbers down below renal threshold.

I just hate seeing him with these high numbers.

Yes, I have considered Lev, and have been reading about it.
After grandma gets home Friday and we get schedule for her worked out, I will seriously consider it.
If I could get that high AMPS down more. The thing with ProZinc is he does get movement at nadir some days, actually just before this schedule mess up with dose reduction, he was seeing good mid day numbers.
I hate when hes in flat numbers all day, this time I do think it was from messing up his schedule and reducing.
 
It might be from the messed up schedule. I've seen him get good nadirs sometimes but not consistantly, if only his PS's would come down.

I think the longer lasting insulin would help him stay in better numbers longer.

I'm just worried about Big Hen.
 
Thanks Rob; I worry about him too. He checked out ok on his labs and bloodwork 2 months ago everything was in normal range, kidneys, liver, etc., his glaucoma was more controlled than its ever been well into low end of normal pressure. I check him weekly for ketones and they are negative.
Once I see how my schedule will be with grandma I'll discuss it with vet again, I don't think she will oppose me getting a prescription for one of the others. Shes seems to just have more experience with PZI and now ProZinc. Its a small practice. Shes been very helpful and always willing to listen.
Hes gotten off track the last few days with the schedule change; right before then I was getting some 100's at nadir and a few days out of 400's and into 300's.
Hoping he gets back to where he was at before change.

So far today hes not had great numbers first day back to normal dosage and schedule:
