Henry's AMPS is horrible this morning! He had a fairly good day yesterday, his PMPS was 300 last night. Don't know if he dropped overnight I was sound asleep. DH said he didn't have his usual 3-4 am snack and it seems when he doesn't get a snack about that time he tends to be higher in the morning, but he hasn't been over 500 probably since he was first diagnosed. I tested ketones 2 days ago and they were negative. He pee'd this morning right before I got up. Going to try to get a test in but will be leaving to go to hospital to visit grandma in just a little while, DH will be testing BGs at usual times. He acts fine, appetite good, has been in litter box before I got up, drank water, not excessive, alert, no other symptoms. I did double check reading 511 first time and 512 second time. I upped his dose a little to 3.8, don't know whether I should have or not in case this was caused by dropping low overnight, his PMPS was 298 and 300 last night. I hope I can get a test in at 3.5 hours right before I leave, usually his first test is at +4

AMPS 511! 3.8 U (.02 increase)

I've noticed that Grayson has a better AMPS if he gets something to eat mid cycle as well.

Hopefully Henry will be cooperative again today. You've already retested, which was my thought. Sometimes they have a blip - just for the sake of having a blip.

Tell Henry he can hang out w/ Grayson at Kitten's party, if you want to send him alone. Grayson will be at the buffet!

Come DOWN BIG Hen! We want more 300 preshots!

How is your Grandmother today? I hope she is improving.

Hoping Henry sees lower numbers today. And, please, give us an update on your grandma when you get a chance.

Take care -

Libby

Just got home from the hospital. She was sleeping for an hour and a half when I got there. Still didn't see doctor but the nurse said they still have not determined the cause of anemia and they are trying to get a stool sample. When she woke up she said that they came and got her in the middle of the night to put a port in because they kept having trouble getting the ivs in. The nurse told us that her anemia had stabilized and she had not had any more iron or blood transfusions today.
The nurse got her up to sit in the recliner for awhile and she ate good for dinner most everything on her plate. The nurse also said another xray had been done this morning and the congestive heart failure was better since they had given her a lot of Lasix. She was alert and talkative after she woke up. She had wanted her comb and hairbrush and had me wet her hair with a rag so she could brush it, it was standing up like Buckwheat's hair when I got there, think she brushed like ten times.
I hope the doctor will be on regular weekday rounds tomorrow so someone can talk to him. She has an awesome nurse that came in about every 2 minutes, so I felt she was in good hands when I left tonight.

And on to Big Henny Pen Penette,

Sounds like she's doing better. I know you've got to be relieved. And Henry has been behaving himself at the big party - didn't spend the entire day at the buffet like SOME kitties! Good boy Hen!

Henry didn't want to get into too much trouble grazing the buffet at the party

PMPS 360 3.7 U @ +14

Glad your Grandmother is stabilized and that Big Hen had a better pmps. Why does all the stressful stuff happen at once? @-)

Here’s hoping today is a better numbers day for Hen.

Love and light to you for your Grandmother. :YMHUG:
