Hey Angela, did you mention a cat rescue in NC or SC, Angela's something on the Animal Rescue Site? I found one & been voting for them for lack of a better place. Let me know if there's somewhere with more need I should vote for.

BTW, do you live near that rescue place that was raided, I think it was today? I had read about the place before & thought it sounded great. I didn't read the whole article so I don't really know what happened.

Hi Barbara,
Yes, Angela's Angels rescue in NC has great need for supplies and funding for sick kitties, vacs, etc.
Others that do good work and always in need, Winging Cat Rescue in Griffin, GA , I've donated many times over the years to help get cats funded and pulled from the gassing shelter in Spaulding, GA. They have saved thousands of cats lives and sent them to fosters, and many are adopted that are saved/
Rikki's Refuge in VA is another, some of the Winging Cat Rescue cats are transported there.

And yes, Caboodle Ranch that was raided is in my general area about an hour and a half away.
There were sick cats there, but I am reserving judgement on the situation because for one thing, PETA was behind the raid. And I don't trust their motives. While PETA saves many farm animals and other lives, they are dead set against feral cats. They would rather see a feral euthanized than trap, neutered and released to a colony. And there is a bill in FL that is on the verge of passing that would make shelters accept offers from licensed rescues and pullers before they euthanize an animal on death row and PETA is VERY against this and anything to do with no-kill. So the timing of this raid makes me wonder about PETA's true motives, were they really trying to help or was this a way to try to get the animal rescue bill defeated?
I have visited the Caboodle Ranch 3 times in the past, and I never saw anything like this when I went a year ago. There were some cats that were sick, but they were confined to one building and were being treated.
All the cats I saw then appeared healthy and happy that I saw on the grounds. The guy that started the place sold everything he had, his home and everything to buy the acreage for the ranch and he lives on the property with the cats in a trailer. He had made cat houses, climbing and play areas every where like a little town. The cats were following him everywhere when I visited. It makes me very sad, this was last chance for some of these cats, a lot of them were ferals and strays. I worry they will all be euthanized now , but they all will be held somewhere for evidence probably for a long time. I feel bad for anyone who took cats there and now can't get them back.
If anything, Craig Grant's heart was in the right place but he became overwhelmed trying to do this alone.
