What is the appropriate variance for alphatrak 2? Sometimes my reads are 100 off.

Do you mean 100 point difference between your AT and another meter? Or what? Or are you testing one drop of blood and getting readings that are 100 points different than one another with the same drop of blood?

Always same meter. Sometimes the same exact drop of blood, sometimes a fresh prick. I read somewhere about a variance, I just can't remember.
 
I remember reading somewhere pet meters are actually 15%. So, my guess is that the "real" number was probably somewhere in the middle? But with a 100 pt difference that would only make sense in the 300s+

Perhaps it's time to run some control solution? Are you coding the meter to strips/feline blood correctly?

Sometimes if there isn't enough blood a meter will just throw a random number instead of an error code.
