This may not be the right place to post. I have a 17 year old cat with moderate kidney disease. I have had her in for sub q at a vet a few times in the last month and vet suggested I do at home. I had success the first 2 times putting her in a carrier with an open top and using a heating pad on a cushion inside. But, today, day 3, she would not stop circling, despite trying to put in a towel on the side. I have to do this by myself as husband has dementia and there is no one to help and she is very timid. I have done insulin before with a sweet cat I no longer have but personalities are different. I really need tips to manage this by myself. I read that it helps to not just TENT but pull the skin toward the needle instead of the other way around. With her moving so much one needle pulled out despite my hand on the base of it and another I pulled out because she would not be still.
