? HELP (!) Simmy's Crazy Numbers In Recent Weeks...

Hi, all. It's been quite awhile since I've posted here, but much has been happening in my life, Simmy had been stable thanks to the wonderful people here, and oh, the little pandemic that's been going on!

I have been feeding him the same food (switching back and forth between Soulistic Chicken and Tiki Cat Chicken Mousse), but his numbers have been wild lately! And I'm trying to be really good about not dropping bits and pieces of food like chips that he could be coming across.

I'm really worried and need advice/insight. I don't think it's the insulin as it's been working. Could it be the injection sites (space between shoulder blades) developing scar tissue and limiting absorption?

Sorry Simmy's numbers have been off. Your signature says "TR", but your spreadsheet does not. Your dosing is "all over the place". It's time to remember patience. You hold a dose a minimum of six cycles (unless a reduction is earned), before increasing. Doses showing green we typically hold for 10 cycles. If you bounce around doses too much, you disrupt the depot. I see different doses in the AM vs PM. I suggest starting with 0.75 units, and hold that dose to start.

Try consistent dosing first, then try shooting in the flank or elsewhere if you are worried about scar tissue. For what it's worth, I shot just behind the shoulder blades for 5 years with no issue, alternating right and left side.

Hi!

Yes, I was using TR, but the recent changes have made me adjust the shots based on the numbers. You're absolutely correct — I need to remember patience and stick with TR. Do you know why this could be happening, though? Where exactly is the flank? Pardon my ignorance...
