I have Walgreens Super Thin II Syringes Short Needles

30 Guage
.3 ml

It reads in half units but is the FIRST line my .5 or is that ZERO and the second line is actually .5?

Here's another pic with the red arrow pointing to 0.5 units.

Boy do I hear ya one the tiny lines. I have glasses. I finally bought a magnifying glass (4x) to measure the doses. I was surprised at how much I was off when I measured it with and w/o the mag glass.

So how did your first shot go this morning?

Well aside from not knowing 0 from .5 - pretty good. It's shocking how LITTLE liquid .5 really is. I guess cats are tiny little things but how can it possible DO anything!!! So far Tiki seems to be normal (so I haven't killed him)! He has spent the morning sleeping in the sun spots purring. >^..^<

Good job Tonya! See...we TOLD you it was no big deal. I swear it's a much bigger deal for us beans than for the kitties....

BIG HUGS! GOOD JOB!!!

great job! wahoo! we knew you could do it!

btw, perfect for winning a nerd photo contest, but also for seeing - stack 2 pair of reading glasses on your face. put on one pair, put the second pair on top of it. you'll be able to see better.

i have a friend in my quilting group that does that - and the first time i saw her do it i nearly fell off my chair. now i'm like "hey, i can really see those threads now!"

Seeing these tiny lines for the first time it sure becomes understandable how people can easily receive the wrong dosage of drugs. I've been noticing how I keep holding things further and further away (I've been near sighted since 6th grade) or how I will focus on things by looking below the edge of my glasses. But just haven't gotten to the Eye Dr. But those syringes REALLY bring it home - note to self - MAKE EYE APPOINTMENT!!!

if you're in the over-40 crowd drugstore reading glasses will probably get you along for a while.

i didn't understand why people died from diabetes until i had a diabetic cat and discovered how difficult it is to manage it. there's nothing like living with a problem to understand it from the inside.

Yep, I feel like as soon as I hit 40 my warranty expired as everything started to break. But just for hoo haws I tested my own blood yesterday and I was smack dab right in the middle of NORMAL! So thankfully, something is working ok! LOL

one of my friends said turning 40 was like being a salmon that had already spawned. it was all maintenance now.

i'm glad you've got something that still works! hahahaha
