Two choices....either skip entirely
or
Shoot a .5u or 1u whichever you are more comfortable with..if you go with the 1u monitor him at +3 and +6 at the very least to make sure he doesn't make a run for the basement.

Kim, I don't have dosing advice, but you are doing a good job. That's a nice number to see

When you get a chance can you update Smokie's spreadsheet so the next time you get a lower than normal number I can see how he has been trending?
Otherwise he looks like he is doing great but now that we have convinced him that low carb canned is the way to go on diet, gonna want to watch him pretty closely as he just might be one of the lucky ones that diet change plus a touch of insulin gets to OTJ relatively quickly.
My Maxwell went from 485 to OTJ in two weeks basically..he got Lantus for 2 weeks while his diet was changed while he was in foster care waiting for a transport to be set up, once he got to me I gave him two shots total..one at 1u and the next at .5u and done. Most of them don't go that quickly but a lot do, so we are going to want to keep an eye on Smokie since he is responding so well.
