One of my diabetic cat's babies (Jr. Mint), has newly been diagnosed, and treated for UTI. He just got out of the hospital today, and they have given me Hill's Prescription C/D wet food, but he's not liking it too much. Now. When he got home, he ate 1/4 can without hesitation. Now, he's not eating that much. I have Friskies wet food, 2 of which are Poultry Platter, and Turkey & Giblets.

He's currently on anti-inflammatory pills, and he's taking antibiotics for 7 days.

What food is appropriate for a UTI patient, please? I prefer to feed wet food only, as that's what my diabetic cat, Blackie is eating, and soon, the civvies will be eating wet food, also.

Thank you for your advice with regards to my UTI baby. I need him to eat so that he'll continue to fight and get better.

I feed nothing special for a UTI. Not infrequently antibiotics will make a kitty not want to eat. Hill's CD is usually used for urinary crystal and stone problems. My Stuart likes the canned Royal Canin SO a lot better than the canned CD.
