? Help keeping kitty hydrated

Anybody have a tips to keep my Fred better hydrated during my attempt at regulating? Went to the vet the week before last and she said he was dehydrated (received fluids there)

He does still drink a lot as his glucose is still pretty up there most of the time but does anyone have any extra steps I can take at home?

I’m noticing his pee is getting very strong so I assume he’s getting dehydrated again

You can add water to his food.
To test for dehydration, do a tent test.
Pick up the skin between the shoulders and let go. A hydrated cat's skin should go back almost immediately. A dehydrated cat's skin takes a bit longer.
Also, check his gums. If they feel tacky, he could use some extra fluids in his food.

I know this is a few weeks old, but in case you still need tips I've got one. I have no idea if it would work for every cat, but it works for mine.

For Snickers' treats I buy the Pure Bites or Whole Life type of single ingredient freeze dried treats. Except that Snickers has almost no teeth, and the treats are way too big for her. So we bought a cheap coffee grinder and use it to grind up the treats into a powder. We do the whole bag at once.

We use to just sprinkle it on her food, but then I realized if I take a teaspoon or so of the powder and mix it with water, she will drink it all up. I add enough water to make it like a watery gravy, and she just loves it. Hope that helps.
