Help for ruckus

Hi everyone this my second post on here. I upped ruckus insulin to 5.75. He been acting strange the passed few days but today he jumped in a clean laundry basket and took a pee. He seems extremely hungry almost like in a panic, he was breathing hard and has a extremely wet nose. I’ve been feeding him 3 times a day. He also is in the yellow numbers but gave me one blue number but then went high again. Any advice on him?

Thanks ruckus and zorrain.

Can you get some mid-cycle tests on the AM cycle to see how low he's going?

It's also important to get at least a "before bed" test on the PM cycle. Most cats go lower at night so it really is a safety issue.

I’ve been trying to get some mid day tests in. I try stay up to test time after the night one but we do our shots at 8:30 and I’m in bed by 9:00.

He’s still at the same number he was before food tonight 15.2

As long as you aren't seeing any green numbers, it usually good to increase by 0.5 units at a time when over 5 units total dose. The big however, you really need to try to get curves in on the weekend or the spot tests at night if you can't get any during the day. You shouldn't be increasing without knowing how low the dose is taking him. And that means mid cycle tests.

Any chance you can move your shot time earlier so that you can get a +2 before bed?
I’ll try talk to my partner, he try’s helps me do the night time testing and feeding. I’m not sure we could switch it with his work schedule. Maybe to 8:00 am.
