SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL SOMEONE FOR FINANCIAL HELP, LIKE FOR TONIGHT OR IN THE MORNING. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE VET AT 4:30 TOMM. PLEASE HELP. IM SCARED SHES NOT GONNA MAKE IT

Did you see the list Sienne posted in the condo you wrote earlier today?

I think a good plan would be simply to tell your vet that you can't afford to pay the full cost of Mom Mom's tooth extraction tomorrow, but that you could set up an installment plan. Tell him/her that your cat is in great pain.

I applied for care credit and was denied. I already owe my vet 1,900.00 from her last stay and am only able to give him $50.00 a month. I already made an appointment n for tomorrow morning. Wish me luck
 
Laura.. I pray that your mom-mom makes it through the night to be able to see the vet tomorrow. It sounds like maybe more is going on for her than just needed tooth extractions if she is in that much pain and suffering.

I am scared for her, I hate to say it, DKA, with her numbers being so high and her not eating. You need to make sure to let this vet know that MOM-MOM is a diabetic cat, and I would have them test for possible DKA.

If it is DKA, wouldn't even wait for tomorrow morning. I would get her to 24hr emergency vet clinic right now.

if you're worried about DKA, you can test for ketones at home this evening. You don't have to get to the vet to get an initial answer to that question.
 
Good idea Julie. I do think she needs to test Mom-Mom for those ketones ASAP if she thinks Mom-Mom might not make it through the night. You can't wait until morning if she is found to be DKA. I honestly do hate to sound melodramatic, but that really is a life and death situation. :cry: Mom-Mom's numbers are very high.. so were Rocky's when he was DKA.. but I've read here that a mouth full of painful teeth can make a BG high too.

Take a look at Mom-Mom's SS.. there are a lot of BLACK numbers on there starting from a few days ago. Rocky has some black numbers too, but not as many and his are further spread apart.

Her SS reminds me of what Rocky's information sheet of BG testing looked like at the emergency room before I allowed them to treat him with insulin. He was already DKA at that point..
