Help...Diabetic Kitty diagnosed with pancreatitus

Vet called yesterday, and told me my diabetic kitty now has Pancreatitis. Did fructosamine test on her, she came back at 513 bg and seems to be insulin resistance.(she has no symptoms other than the insulin resistance) She has been put on Gabapentin liquid 50mg, 0.5ml 2x day with food. They did a complete work up on her to include Recheck Profile [Chem 25+cbc], Spec f PLI Lipase and Urinalysis w/culture & MIC. Everything came back good with the exception of Pancreatitis. She was diagnosed with diabetes on July 5, 2014 and receiving 4 1/2 units of prozinc 2x day. Her insulin dose has not been changed since Nov, 12th. I don't know much about this, if someone can please help me understand what is going on I would greatly appreciate. Thank you very much Confused and Concerned Mommie. :sad:
 
Thank you very much BJM this does help alot. Also will check her bg more often now that I know she could get to much insulin with the pancreatitus.
